About Cyprus

Cyprus is the legendary birthplace of Aphrodite.  It is a beautiful sun-drenched Mediterranean island with glorious beaches, amazing scenery and history aplenty.  It has everything a destination could wish for to be a holiday hotspot to visit again & again.

Paphos, on the west coast of Cyprus, is one of the most popular resorts on the island.   It has found the perfect balance of old and new with ancient heritage sites such as the Tomb of the King’s, the Mosaics and the old forts coupled with beautiful boutiques, fine dining and a bustling nightlife.

Things to see & do in Paphos

Tomb of the Kings:  A very popular tourist site which uncovers the underground tombs of the 4th century.

Paphos Archealogical Park: Made up of a number of attractions including The House of Dionysos which is famous for its Mosaics and the Odeon which is a classic amphitheatre, occasionally shows and musical events are held here.

Paphos Fort:  Historical fort which can be found at the far end of the Paphos Marina.

Aphrodite Water Park: A fun day out for all the family.  It is an impressive water park with a variety of slides to cater for ages.  It also houses a lazy river for relaxation and wave machine for the more adventurous among us.

Paphos Bird Park: Located to the North of Paphos, this large wildlife park is a must for the animal lovers.

Paphos Karting Centre  For those after a more exhilarating fun day out.  There are also mini karts for the younger members of the party (3 years & up).  A fun day out for all the family.  Contact them through the website for FREE transfers to & from the track!

By the Go karting centre in Kato Paphos is also the Island Cove Mini Golf course.  This is an 18 hole course which is beautifully landscaped and floodlit to allow play from 10am to 10pm.  There is entertaiment and challenges along the way on this cousre which is suitable for all ages.

There is also horse riding  to the North of Paphos.  This can be found at George's Ranch which is on the road to Ayios Georgios, just beyond Coral Bay.  They cater for all ages and levels of experience including beginners who'd like to experience riding for the first time.  The treks can take you through forest or along the beautiful cypriot beaches.

Further afield

Troodos Mountains:  Approximately 1hr drive inland from Paphos.  The Troodos mountains offer superb panoramic views as well as a variety of sites and activities.   They are filled with traditional and unspoilt villages, nature trails to waterfalls with beautiful flora and fauna to be seen along the way.   Many Orthodox monasteries can be found throughout the mountains with the largest and most famous being the Kykkos Monastry.  In January & February why not slip on the ski’s at the Troodos ski centre.   See
